Student Drop-off and Pick-up

A detailed architectural layout of a building and surrounding area.

Ensuring the safety of our students during the busiest times of the day requires a collective effort from staff, parents, and drivers. The morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up periods are high-traffic windows where a few simple habits can make a life-saving difference.

  • Follow Our Map: There a designated areas for parent dropoff/pickup and for buses. Please do not dropoff/pickup in the bus loop.

  • Stay Off the Phone: Distracted driving is the leading cause of accidents in school zones. Please keep your eyes on the road and off your devices.

  • Follow the Flow: Stick to the designated traffic patterns. Avoid U-turns, double-parking, or cutting across lanes, which can confuse both other drivers and children.

  • Observe Speed Limits: School zones have reduced speed limits for a reason. Slowing down gives you the reaction time needed if a student unexpectedly steps into the street.

Early Pick-up

If you are coming to school early to pick up your child, you need to come to the office and sign him/her out.  Students are not allowed to be picked up directly from the classroom. We will call your child from the classroom to the office. Also, students are not allowed to leave school early with someone not listed on their enrollment form unless we have a signed note or receive a phone call from the parent or guardian.

Note: Picture ID may be required to verify permission for student pick-up.  If you have authorized another person to pick your child up after school, please let the classroom teacher know by note or phone call.
